What started as an attempt at a routine traffic stop Wednesday morning ultimately led to a police chase, and then a drug bust in Bangor authorities say.

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, deputies initially tried to pull the vehicle over for a traffic violation in Hermon around 10:45 AM, but the driver wouldn't cooperate and sped off towards the interstate.
