Body Of Man Found At Augusta Home Sent To Medical Examiners Office; Circumstances Of Death Under Investigation
Authorities say while they do not believe there's an imminent threat to the public at the moment, they admit they're looking to the circumstances of how a man, whose body was discovered in a home in Kennebec County, may have died.
According to the Maine Department of Public Safety, authorities in the Augusta area were called to "an incident" on Flagg Street in that city.
When they got there, they made an unfortunate discovery.
"Upon arrival, officers located a deceased adult male. The circumstances surrounding the death are currently under investigation. The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit – Central responded to assist with the investigation. The deceased has been transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death."

There's no word on what condition the body was in when it was found, nor what the possible manner of death might be.
We will update this story when more information becomes available.
