A 29-year-old man died Sunday morning after a fiery motorcycle crash with a truck in Litchfield.
Man Died in Motorcycle Crash with Truck
Jon W. Devoe from Turner died at the scene after his Harley Davidson collided with a pickup truck around 9 am on Richmond Road.
Motorcyclist Pulled from under Truck
Devoe and his motorcycle ended up under the truck. Bystanders pulled him out from under the pickup. The 34-year-old driver of the truck was able to get out.
Truck Fire and Explosions
The pickup then caught on fire. Witnesses said they heard explosions coming from the truck on fire, said WGME News.
Crossed Centerline and Crashed Head-On
The Sheriff’s Office said Devoe was speeding, crossed the centerline and collided head-on with the truck.
Ongoing Crash Investigation
The crash investigation is ongoing. No information about charges were released.
