Maine Social Media Star Stella the Dog Shows Off Epic Leaf Jumps

Maine’s coolest dog is already having a great fall!

Stella is a spirited English yellow Lab who lives with her family in Freeport, Maine. She’s a legit star, too. In fact, she’s so famous that she has her own YouTube channel, with more than 151,000 subscribers.

Like her fellow Maine canine Tatum, Stella proves that you don’t have to be human to become a social media superstar!

Stella also has an impressive following on Facebook, where she has more than 1 million followers.

She’s on TikTok, too, where she has more than 837,000 followers. Combined, her videos have racked up a staggering 53 million views. Incredible!

Stella Loves Her Leaves

Stella absolutely loves being outside, especially when there are humongous piles of leaves covering the ground.

Watching her run like she was shot out of a cannon before launching herself through the air and into an awe-inspiring mountain of leaves is endlessly entertaining.

Best of all, there are no sound effects or music in the video clips. You can actually hear Stella smash through the leaves with the greatest of ease!

With that in mind, her owners put together a compilation of some of her coolest leaf jumps every fall.

Stella’s leaf-jumping tradition goes all the way back to when she was a puppy. Her owner, Jody Hartman, first noticed that she would launch herself into freshly raked piles of leaves completely on her own.

And Jody doesn’t simply rake the leaves and call it a day. He dries them with a hair dryer, covers them to keep them dry, “fluffs” them up, and does whatever else is necessary to create the perfect pile for Stella’s epic dives.

She’s been jumping into leaves every autumn for more than 10 years now. Even as an older dog, her enthusiasm hasn’t dimmed much at all.
