A Brewer night spot that was about to be sold, has closed their doors for now.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, things sure have changed quite a bit when it comes to nightlife in the Greater Bangor area.

Fewer and fewer people go out, and there aren't many places that stay open till last call, even on the weekends.

There also aren't as many places to see live music as their once were, and there is a glaring hole for a club that plays strictly current dance music for the younger crowd, that likes to go out and have fun on Friday & Saturday nights.

Mad Kat and Company, located at 393 North Main Street in Brewer, has thrived for the past four years, offering up nightly karaoke fun and food, but they are in a holding pattern and the doors will be closed temporarily.

In a Facebook post this morning, they mentioned that sale of Mad Kat fell through, but it will be back on the market soon. More details are coming on that very soon.

They have a very loyal following of customers in the area, and rest assured, they are working hard to re-open the doors in the near future.

All planned events, gift cards, and certificates at Mad Kat & Company will sill be honored.

For several years, Jester's was a well known fixture in the City of Brewer, but in September of 2020, Kat Markwith and her husband took over, changing the name to Mad Kat & Company.
