Brewer’s New Takeout Breakfast & Bakery Spot Is Now Open

New Biz Alert: Something exciting has come to Brewer!

I have had the conversation with lots of people who wish we had more choices for morning breakfast in the Greater Bangor area (myself included)

When it comes to supporting local businesses, however, you don't have to look very far for some pretty tempting choices around town, including a new spot that just opened this week.

Happy Javy's is a brand new bakery & breakfast spot, located at 50 Brimmer Street, in Brewer.

Owner Javier Ross is serving a variety of baked goods, and breakfast tacos and coffee.

He also makes a mean polvorone, which is a tasty Mexican wedding cookie, made with butter, powdered sugar, salt, vanilla, flour, chopped nuts and topped with powdered sugar.

Initially, Ross started out at the Bangor European Market, but the demand for his treats grew fast, so the idea was born to open up a new business.

This is great news for Brewer, which is a little thin on the food side of things, especially during the early morning hours.

Having grown up in California with access to some of the best Mexican pastries, finding Happy Javy's was a dream. The pan dulce are to die for and so good with a cup of coffee on a Saturday morning!!

I'm excited to see what else they bake up!! Brings me back to my childhood.
