One of the interesting things about the English language is that it is always changing.

There is a reason why a new dictionary gets printed each year.

If you are younger, there is a good chance that you probably learn what new slang terms mean through interactions with your peers.  However, if you are older, there is a good chance that your middle schooler or high schooler introduces you to a new word (or several) each week.

This has probably led to your Googling what "rizz", "no cap", and "left no crumbs" mean.  It's okay, this has happened to all of us at least a few times.

The Slang Words Most Google By Mainers

According to Unscrambler, these are the most Googled slang words in Maine in the last year

I'll never forget the first time I heard the word "skibidi".  It was on a TikTok video put out by a middle school teacher.  In the video, he explained that, within a few weeks, there was a good chance that parents were going to start hearing that word used a lot more frequently.

At the time the video was posted, the poster was not able to explain exactly what the word meant.  All he knew was that the word was taken from a series of viral videos involving evil toilets.

Because of that, he was pretty confident that "Skibidi" meant bad or evil.
