Is There Really an Age Restriction on Chick-fil-A Locations in Maine, New Hampshire, & Massachusetts?
It is completely normal for a person to be a super fan of a particular chain restaurant.
As much as I think the concept is a little strange, I admit that I am a super fan of certain chain restaurants.
When it comes to chain restaurants that people are super fans of, no one can deny that the chain with the most fans across the country is Chick-fil-A. People who love Chick-fil-A's sandwiches, fries, and shakes really love them.
Given that loyalty, it probably should not be much of a surprise that some people were concerned by the news that the brand may be putting an age restriction on dining in.
Is There Really a Minimum Age to Eat at Chick-fil-A Restaurants?
The answer? Yes and no.
According to a recent article in People Magazine, a Chick-fil-A location in Kettering, Ohio has posted that they will no longer allow customers under the age of 18 to dine in the lobby without being accompanied by a parent or guardian who is at least 21-years-old.
The purpose of the policy is to prevent groups of disruptive teenagers from hanging out in the lobby/dining room of the business. It appears that, in the past, this particular location has had issues with poorly behaved tweens and teens preventing other customers from enjoying their meals.
One commenter under the Facebook post from the restaurant did point out that the post is worded "May be asked to leave". The commenter said that they bet if the teens are well behaved they will not be asked to leave.
Is the Chick-fil-A Age Policy National?
No.
The article explains that, as the restaurants are franchises, the individual owners can make up their own policies when it comes to allowing certain ages in the location.

So far, we have not heard about any other Chick-fil-A locations instituting similar policies.
