Everyone's invited to a hunters' breakfast this Saturday in Hudson that will help build a Veterans' memorial in that town.

Now, before you say that firearm hunting season doesn't start til next weekend, this Saturday is Youth Deer Hunter Day. Saturday, experienced hunters are encouraged to take their sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, or any other young people for a day of hunting. The hope is that it will instill a love for the sport in a whole new generation of hunters.

But you don't have to be a hunter to enjoy a hearty breakfast this Saturday at the Hudson Town Office. From 4:30 to 9 a.m., folks can chow down on bacon, eggs, pancakes, beans, fruit juices, coffee, and more. Admission is $3 for kids and $5 for adults.

All the proceeds from the breakfast and a gun raffle that will be drawn at 9:00 will help to fund the Hudson Veterans' Memorial Park project. Tickets for the gun raffle will be sold at the breakfast. A committee of residents has been working tirelessly to make the dream of a memorial, honoring all branches of the military, a reality.
