A Houlton man died Thursday morning when his pickup truck collided with a tractor-trailer on Route 1 in Topsfield.

Tyler Dwyer, 30, was deceased at the scene and a passenger of that pickup truck was injured, according to police.

Police say it appears Dwyer's southbound truck crossed into the northbound lane just after 9 a.m., when it struck the tractor-trailer, driven by Gregory Worster, 58, of Kingman.

Police say failure to maintain the proper lane and fatigue appear to be factors in the crash.

The 2009 Ford pick-up truck is owned by Bushwacker and Sons Logging of Cary.

The 2020 Peterbilt tractor-trailer is owned by C&C Trucking of Lincoln.

A crash reconstruction and forensic mapping are being conducted. The investigation is continuing.
