It's Hot Hunk Monday! Time to pit last week's hot hunk against a new opponent. It was a close battle last week between George Strait and Alan Jackson, with Alan coming out victorious! This week, Alan will face off against Darius Rucker. Vote now!

George Strait may be affectionately known as King George, but Alan Jackson wears the Hot Hunk crown this week. The Georgia boy beat out the Texas crooner with 52% of the votes. Now he's taking on a singer from his neck of the woods!

Darius Rucker got his start in music under another name. For anyone who doesn't know already, Darius was once Hootie of the rock band Hootie and the Blowfish. Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Darius was raised by his mother, along with his three sisters and two brothers. His father wasn't around much, although young Darius would see him before church on Sundays. Dad was in a gospel group known as 'The Rolling Stones.' Darius started Hootie and the Blowfish in 1986, recorded a solo R&B album in 2002. And by 2008, he had been welcomed into the country music community, dropping the Hootie and using his own name.

Alan Jackson is also from the Southeast. Born in Newnan, Georgia in 1958, he is one of five siblings. He grew up listening to gospel until a friend introduced him to the music of Gene Watson, John Anderson, and Hank Williams, Jr. Years later, Alan and his wife Denise would move to Nashville so Alan could try his hand at making music. I guess it worked out pretty well!

So what do you think? Who's the Hottest? (or will it be Hootiest?!) It's up to you! Vote as often as you like, all week long. We'll declare a winner next week when that country cutie will face off against another on Hot Hunk Monday!
