Hank Williams Junior Visited Old Town Trading Post
Always great when the stars come to play Bangor, that they are also anxious to get out and about and do things off the stage while they are in town.
Hank Williams Junior played on Friday night. Then it was off to New Hampshire and Guilford for a show on Saturday night.
But he also made it a point to stop into Old Town Trading Post before carrying on with his current tour.
The country music portion of the Summer Season at Maine Savings Amphitheater has ended.
That was quick.
Opening up the Hank Show on Friday night was Old Crow Medicine Show. They also released an album on the same day.
Then Hank played all the songs everyone knows and loves at Maine Savings Amphitheater.
Bocephus has been at it for a lifetime. He made his first TV appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show in December 1963, when he was only 14 years old.
“Don’t be nervous, almost every television in America was on for the Ed Sullivan show every Sunday evening.”
The next year he released his first record, covering a couple of his famous father’s classics.
Wonder if Hank will wear the hat at one of his upcoming shows on the current tour. Wouldn’t bet against it.
