A Maine woman couldn't be revived after being found unresponsive in a pond in Otis.
Tremont, Maine Woman Found Deceased in Hancock County Pond
The Hancock County Sheriff's Office says the deceased has been identified as Deborah Wedge, 67, of Tremont.
Just before 4:30 Sunday afternoon, a 911 caller told dispatchers at the Hancock County Regional Communications Center that an unresponsive female had been found in Beech Hill Pond, off Salisbury Cove Road in Otis.
Bystanders Tried to Revive a Maine Woman Found in the Water in Otis
Officials say bystanders removed the woman from the water and began performing CPR until first responders arrived.

Members of the Hancock County Sheriff's Office and Maine Warden's Service, as well as the Otis/Mariaville Fire Department, and Northern Light Ambulance responded and performed life-saving measures.
Despite their efforts, Ms. Wedge was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Maine Woman Found Deceased in an Otis Pond May Have Suffered a Medical Event
According to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, an initial investigation suggests that Wedge may have suffered a medical event while in the water.
There is no indication of foul play or suspicious circumstances.
This incident remains under investigation by the Hancock County Sheriff's Office.
