Gouldsboro Woman Killed in Head-on Crash With Dump Truck

A Gouldsboro woman died Wednesday in a head-on collision on Route 1 in Township 7 between Gouldsboro and Steuben.

The 51-year-old woman, whose identity has not been released, was killed when her pickup truck apparently crossed over the yellow center line and struck a Ford F-550 dump body truck head-on, police said. It is unknown why the woman's truck crossed the center line.

The dump truck's operator, a 37-year-old man from Columbia, was taken to Northern Light Maine Coast for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating.
