Going On Vacation? What Will You Do with Your Dog?
One of the most stressful things of owning a dog is planning a vacation. It's challenging to be away from your fur-children for any length of time. When you want to travel, finding someone to care for your dog or somewhere for your pup to stay is super challenging. Family members will help, but you don't want to give them any added trouble to their day, and some boarding places just don't have that special, warm feeling you want for your pet.
I have two dogs and I'm going away for almost a week. A year ago, I wouldn't have been able to travel for any extended period of time because I didn't have anyone to care for my girls. Last summer I found Roscoe's Bed & Bark in Portland. It's a brand new doggy day care and boarding facility right off 95 and less than 5 minutes from the Portland Jet Port.
Roscoe's Bed & Bark has been a lifesaver. One of my dogs, Lou Lou, is nervous and scared around new people, but she warmed up to the Roscoe's staff almost instantly. Now both dogs get excited as soon as we pull in the parking lot.
Here's what I love the most about Roscoe's Bed & Bark:
- 24/7 supervision, even over night
- Live webcams so I can watch my girls play
- Photo report cards at the end of the day
- Clean, new, modern facilities
- Animal First Aid and CPR certified staff
Although I'll miss Eloise and Lou Lou so much while I'm gone, but I won't be worried about their care. I know Roscoe's Bed & Bark gives them the same love and care they receive at home.
