One of Bangor's greatest showcases of technology of yesteryear is putting on a food drive right now to kick start the giving season.
Museum Donations Being Accepted Now
The Cole Land Transportation Museum has teamed up with the Maine Veterans Project to collect nonperishable food items to give to area food cupboards in an effort to help feed those in need. With your donation, the museum is offering a discounted ticket to walk around this incredible museum and learn about historic vehicles.
Donations are being accepted now. You can stop by today, Friday or Saturday between 9 AM and 5 PM to drop off your nonperishable food items. Items will be accepted through Saturday.
Open Seasonally and Set to Close Up November 11th
The Cole Land Transportation Museum is located at 405 Perry Road in Bangor. The museum is open seasonally from May to November, with its final day this year being November 11.
The museum is a collection of Maine transportation equipment, specifically used on land, that is meant to educate those that visit about Maine's history through the vehicles it has used in the past.
The museum is also known for its collection of military memorabilia.
