A Gardiner man, two people from South Carolina, and a New Yorker are facing charges for allegedly bringing cocaine and fentanyl into the state.

Maine State Police say Troopers conducted a traffic stop Sunday on I-295 in Scarborough. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 200 grams of cocaine and 72 grams of fentanyl.

Arrested as a result of that stop were Markia Triplett of South Carolina, Shayne Fletcher of Gardiner, Ashley Boyd of the Bronx, and Carlos Tabor of South Carolina. All four were charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled W drugs. In addition, Tabor was charged with being a fugitive from justice, stemming from an extraditable warrant out of South Carolina.
