Right, the boss. If you don’t know the story, a then-5-year-old Arabella approached her parents saying she wanted to open up a flower shop in the garage.

The supporting parents, Anthony and Jess wanted to help her achieve her dreams, but not convert the garage into a store.

The compromise was a roadside flower stand. This was the summer of 2020. Arabella was out on weekends and some evenings at the roadside stand selling her flowers, much like children sell lemonade or girl scout cookies.

That lasted all summer.

Not sure how much money was raised with the selling of flowers, but the profits were donated to ‘Ending Hunger’.  Arabella never took even a dollar for herself.

Last summer. Same process. This time the money went to Parkinson’s Society, a charity close to the family’s hearts.

Now you’re up to date. And this summer the flowers will be sold not from the roadside stand, but at a City of Old Town Downeast Market Village Pop-Up Shop. The address is 211 Main Street, Old Town. The hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Flowers. Some gifts. The owner herself. And JJ’s Jerk Shack food truck will all be there to celebrate.

And this year’s charity? Another great cause.  A Touch of Grace Flower Shop will donate 25% of all flower sales to the Northern Light NICU.

This is good news in the community. Thank you, Arabella.
