Favorite Seasonal Snack Stands Set Opening Dates

Some local favorites are gearing up for the season.

Earlier we reported Gifford's Ice Cream stands will be opening for the season soon. Gifford's plans to open for the 2018 season March 16. Gifford's Ice Cream has stands in Auburn, Farmington, Skowhegan, Waterville and 1109 Broadway in Bangor.

Other local drive-ups are starting to announce their opening dates. Jimmie's Ice Cream and Grill plans to reopen March 1, according to their Facebook page. The Brewer favorite is located at 409 North Main Street.

Two Bucksport favorites have yet to announce official opening dates. Crosby's Drive-In says on their Facebook page that they will open sometime in April.

Carrier's Mainely Lobster will also open in April. According to a comment they made by their official Facebook page they may open April 1, or the second Friday of the month, which would be April 13.

Sawyer's Dairy Bar in Newport has yet to announce when they plan to open for the season. Last season they opened April 2. We'll keep you posted.
