A woman is dead after a fire in a Lebanon apartment.

UPDATE: The State Fire Marshal's Office has identified the deceased woman as 46-year-old April Patch of Lebanon, whose death was caused by smoke inhalation. So far, officials have not said how the fire started. 

The State Fire Marshal's Office says the fire was called in at approximately 5:45 Sunday evening. Responding Lebanon fire crews found the fire located in an apartment above the garage at a single-family home, 1320 Carl-Broggi Highway, also known as Route 202. Rescuers found a 46-year-old woman in the fire, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are now working to determine the case of the fire. The woman's body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
