Police have identified an Augusta man as the victim of a three-car accident this morning on Route 115 in Windham.

According to WMTW-TV, the accident was reported at around 7:00 Tuesday morning. The driver of one of the vehicles apparently crossed the center line, which caused the crash. Power was knocked out to several area homes when a utility pole was broken in the accident. Police say 24-year-old Adam Clark of Augusta was killed, and say he was not the driver whose vehicle crossed into the opposite lane.

Route 115, from Falmouth Road to Route 302 is expected to be closed for most of the day while police reconstruct the accident and utility crews work to restore power. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Police say it's too early to determine if the weather was a factor in the crash.

We'll update this story as more details become available.
