Eric Church Announces New Single + Album, Desperate Man

The Chief is back. New music is heading our way tomorrow.

Eric Church has announced a new album. The Chief had been teasing fans on social media that an announcement was coming our way Thursday. His website also featured a countdown to today, July 12.

During a brief live stream, Church said his next album will be titled Desperate Man, which is also the title of the first single off the new record. His fifth studio album is due out on October 5. Members of his Church Choir fan club get an exclusive listen of the single on his website today. It will be officially released tomorrow.

Before signing-off the live stream Church says "I look forward to seeing you on the road." While the "Give Me Back My Hometown" singer has scattered tour dates set through September, fans are hoping those words are a tease to a full tour supporting the new record.

Desperate Man is his latest album since the surprise release of Mr. Misunderstood in 2015.
