
East Millinocket Police Arrest 2 and Seize $33K of Meth
A welfare check on a man in East Millinocket ended with two people being arrested and police seizing nearly two pounds of methamphetamine.
It was around 11:00 Sunday morning, when East Millinocket Police received information about a man in a vehicle, who was believed to be under the influence of drugs. A Police Officer and a Penobscot County Sheriff's Deputy went to the Park Street address and found a man passed out in a vehicle, along with evidence that suggested the man may have been using illegal substances. They were able to awaken him and determine that he was, in fact, under the influence of drugs.

More officers arrived at the scene, with information that prompted police to talk to two people who were inside the residence: Dwayne Bartlett Jr., 24 of East Millinocket; and Bradley Bellfleur, 28 of Bangor. Both men had warrants for their arrest, in addition to bail conditions in relation to other pending charges. Police searched the home and seized approximately 1.75 pounds of methamphetamine and a firearm. The street value of the drugs is in excess of $33,000.
Bartlett was taken into custody on his active warrant and was additionally charged with aggravated trafficking of schedule W drugs. Bellfleur was placed under arrest for his two active warrants.
