East Machias Woman Killed In Single-Car Crash

An East Machias woman was killed after she lost control of her car on Sunday in Wesley.

WABI-TV reports 26-year-old Asia Wells died as a result of the accident on Route 192. It was around 6:30 Sunday evening when Wells was heading towards Machias. The Washington County Sheriff's Office says the woman lost control of the car and it rolled over on the highway. Wells was thrown from the vehicle.

The Sheriff's office continues to investigate the crash but say speed and alcohol don't appear to have been factors.
