Downtown Bangor Partnership Looking For Mural Artists

Bangor is looking for artists to beautify Downtown Bangor this summer.

The Downtown Bangor Partnership is looking for mural artists. The Wheatpaste Mural Project will feature twice as many artists and locations this year. This year's artwork theme is “Maine Flora and Fauna."

Accepted artists will learn the wheatpaste process and have all supplies, digital design, and printing costs paid for. Many locations for murals have already been secured, but artists can seek out their own site for their art. Artists are required to get the building owner’s permission in writing.

Interested artists need to submit digital designs of their proposed mural by April 6. More info and how to submit a design can be found here.

Last spring, six wheatpaste murals were installed throughout Downtown Bangor.
