Dover-Foxcroft Police say a standoff that lasted more than 10 hours ended in the arrests of two individuals.

Police originally went to the home at 3 Park Street at approximately 7:00 Wednesday evening, following a failure to stop traffic violation. The police presence led to a standoff, involving law enforcement officers, including the Maine State Police Tactical Team and Crisis Negotiation Team.

The standoff ended when at 5:30 Thursday morning police took two people into custody. Jeremy Taylor, 31, and LeiAnn Hernandez, 27, were arrested. They were taken to the Piscataquis County Jail.

Assisting the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department were members of the Piscataquis County Sheriff's Office and the Maine State Police.

This incident remains under investigation.
