Dogs + Cars + Halloween in Bangor

The Bangor Humane Society in association with ASPCA and the Subaru Loves Pets initiative joins paws this week.

All this week there are special deals on the cost of pet adoptions through the BHS. Until Saturday you can adopt for up to 50% off that cost.

Also all week long Quirk Subaru in Bangor is collecting donations at their Hogan Road dealership to ‘Fill the Outback’. Everything collected goes to the Humane Society and the need is for new or used towels, blankets, linens, pet food, toys, treats, and cleaning products.  You can drop off your items at Quick Subaru on Hogan Road, or at the Bangor Humane Society on Mt. Hope Avenue.

Since Halloween is Sunday, who is up for a pet photo contest.

This Saturday there will be an appointment-only pet portrait event between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.  This will take place at the Humane Society and Quirk Subaru will also be there to assist in the collection of donation items and to hand out dog goody bags.

All pet owners are encouraged to dress for Halloween and dress their dog for the photos as well. They could win a prize, and the prize of bragging rights for ‘Best Pet Costume’.
