We can't do much about the lackluster weather right now. That groundhog didn't see his shadow, so spring should be on its way, right?

Before you curse Punxsutawney Phil, take a look at the summer tours offered by our favorite travel planner, Cyr Northstar Tours. You might as well start planning your summer fun now so all you need to do is pack your bags when the better weather hits. Here are some of our summer favorites:

1) BBQ Trails of Tennesee (June 4-13): Not only do you get to taste a lot of barbeque (and a little bourbon, if that's your thing), but you'll get to visit some regional cultural icons, including a tribute to the founder of St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Sun Studio, the Johnny Cash Museum, Graceland, and the Tina Turner Museum & West Tennesee Delta Heritage Museum. The 10-day tour includes plenty of free time to explore on your own, too.

2) NASCAR (June 23): Enjoy the race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway from Main Grandstand Section 65.

3) Cabbage Island Clambake (July 14): Enjoy a scenic cruise to Cabbage Island from Boothbay Harbor, Maine, before a traditional downeast clambake hosted by the Moore family with your choice of lobster or chicken. There also will be some time to explore and shop in Boothbay Harbor before returning home.

Of course, the fun doesn't stop there. Cyr Northstar Tours are offering multiple trips to New York City, additional clambakes, a cruise of Moosehead Lake, and so much more later this year.
