Could a Culver’s Restaurant Open in Maine Soon?
There are plenty of popular fast food chains across the country that aren’t in Maine—and Culver’s is certainly a Midwest favorite.
Up here in Maine, we’ve got the ocean breeze, fresh lobster, and some of the prettiest views you’ll ever see—but sometimes it feels like the rest of the country gets all the cool stuff. Would it really be too much to ask for a Culver’s?
We recently went down a rabbit hole after reading an article from Eat This, Not That! ranking the best fast-food onion rings—and Culver’s came in at number one.
Around here, we love our onion rings, so naturally, that caught our attention. We’re not saying we’ve got FOMO... but yeah, we’ve got FOMO.
Culver’s has a helpful section on their website that answers the popular question, ‘Is there a Culver’s in my state?’
It breaks the country into regions—like the Midwest, West, Southwest, Southeast, and Northeast—and shows which states have at least one location.

Of all the regions listed on Culver’s website—Midwest, West, Southwest, Southeast, and Northeast—only the Northeast doesn’t have a single location.
Culver’s responded by saying, ‘Don’t fret, Northeasterners,’ and hinted that the area could become a future market. Until then, they suggest planning a road trip—because, really, that’s our only option at this point.
While there aren’t any Culver’s restaurants currently open or even planned for Maine, never say never, right?
What would your thoughts be if a Culver’s were to open in Maine—or somewhere in the Northeast? We’d love to hear from you! Feel free to join the conversation by messaging us on the app.
