Connecticut Couple Arrested For 2 Stillwater Avenue Robberies
A couple from Connecticut has been charged in connection with two robberies on Stillwater Avenue in Bangor over the weekend.
29-year-old Seth Blewitt and 30-year-old Cara Blewitt of Oakville, Connecticut were arrested after an off-duty Bangor Police officer spotted their vehicle downtown. The car that had been seen in surveillance footage on Sunday was stopped near the intersection of Union and Third Streets.
The Blewitts are accused of robbing the TD Bank Branch on Stillwater Avenue on Sunday. In that robbery, Seth Blewitt allegedly walked into the bank and demanded cash. He then fled on foot and got into a car in the Walmart parking lot, which was also captured on surveillance video. They're also accused of robbing the Dollar Tree on Stillwater Avenue on Monday. Police say the suspect wore a ski mask in the second robbery.
