Clinton Man Dies In Kennebec County Crash

A Clinton man was killed in an accident in Kennebec County early Wednesday morning.

The Kennebec County Sheriff's Office told the BDN that 20-year-old Christian Yahnel was driving on the Bangor Road in Benton just after 1:00 in the morning when his car left the road and struck a tree. Yahnel died at the scene.

Officials say speed and alcohol are believed to have been factors in the crash.
