Pittsfield-based construction company Cianbro Corp. plans to hire 300 additional workers in 2018.

The company said Thursday that it's in need of new hires after securing a number of new projects in Maine, ranging from Kittery to Bangor, according to the Portland Press Herald.

The company said it's looking to hire millwrights, project managers, superintendents, iron workers, construction workers, surveyors, electricians, pipe fitters, structural and pipe welders.

Pete Vigue, Cianbro chairman and CEO, said that the pay is “well above the minimum wage” and “we’re extremely competitive.”

The company employs 1,350 people in Maine and 4,000 men and woman nationwide.
