Drug agents seized a kilo of methamphetamine and other drugs, and arrested 2 women in Charleston.

Two Charleston, Maine, Women Face Felony Drug Trafficking Charges

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office says two women were arrested:

  • Jessica Smock, 43, of Charleston is charged with aggravated unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
  • Lou-Ann Smock, 66, of Charleston is charged with aggravated unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs and unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs.

All of the charges listed are felonies.

A search warrant was executed by Sheriff's deputies on August 8, 2025, at a home on Bacon Road in Charleston. Information gathered during this search led deputies to a home on Puddledock Road.

During the execution of a search warrant at the second residence, K9 Memphis alerted to the presence of illegal drugs.

Seized during the search were:

  • 1003.8 gross grams (over 1 Kilo) of methamphetamine
  • Six firearms
  • Cash
  • 12.9 grams of suspected fentanyl.

Both women were taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
