Car Collides With Log Truck In Northern Maine
A 23-year-old woman was hurt when her car collided with a logging truck Monday in Bridgewater.
April Rempel of Williamstown, New Brunswick was driving eastbound on Corner Road when her Toyota sedan lost traction on the snow covered road, Maine State Police said in a news release Monday.
The car crossed the center line and collided with a Kenworth log truck operated by Donald Eccelston, 51, of Anderson, New Brunswick, the release said.
Rempel's vehicle struck the rear of the truck, causing extensive damage to her car.
Police said Rempel’s injuries were minimal due to the deployment of airbags and her use of a seat belt.
The release did not say if Eccelston was hurt in the accident.
