Cadillac Mountain Takes Second Place for Best National Park Hike

USA Today and 10 Best announce rankings for Best National Park Hike for 2015 based on readers choice.

Out of 20 finalists for best hikes chosen by professionals the results are in and Acadia's Cadillac Mountain was only topped by one. One of Maine's favorite hikes has become a favorite across the nation, and why wouldn't it?

Views of land and sea are just a few reasons it was a favorite among voters. As the highest peak in Acadia it has become a popular place to watch the sunrise and hosts star gazing and full moon viewing events.

Although the voting results were very close for the top spot, Endless Wall Trail at New River Gorge National River took the number one spot and Kilauea Iki Trail in Hawaii Volcanos National Park came in at number three. You can see the top 10 hikes here.
