Bucksport Man Killed Wednesday In Hampden Accident

A Bucksport man died Wednesday night in a single-vehicle crash in Hampden.

The accident happened a little after 5 p.m. on the Shaw Hill Road. WABI-TV reports a pickup, driven by 41-year-old Christopher Holyoke of Bucksport, left the road and struck a tree.

Police say it appears that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the accident happened. They say it does not appear that Holyoke was wearing his seat belt.

This accident remains under investigation.
