
Maine Woman Drove Into A Busy Athletic Center in Brunswick
A car crashed through the wall of a Brunswick athletic center then sped across busy tennis courts.

Only two people sustained minor injuries in the scary incident, including the driver, Michelle Vadeboncoeur, 72, of Gray, and a patron who was struck by flying glass.
Both were transported to Mid Coast Hospital.

The Brunswick Public Safety Dispatch Center started getting 911 calls just after 9:30 Thursday morning, reporting a vehicle that had driven into the Maine Pines and Racquet Fitness Center on Harpswell Road.
Brunswick Maine Police Say a Jeep Drove Through a Brunswick Fitness Center
Members of the Brunswick Police Department responded and found a 2014 Jeep Cherokee inside the building. Officials say the vehicle crashed through an outside wall, drove over four busy tennis courts, across the lobby, and then into another room, where it finally stopped.

Witnesses told police they saw patrons and employees of the fitness center scrambling in all directions to get out of the way of the Jeep as it made its way through the building.

The Jeep was totalled and the fitness center closed due to the amount of damage sustained in the incident.
Removing the vehicle from the building wasn't easy, since it was well inside the structure.
Police have not indicated whether the woman will face charges for the crash.
