Brewer Maine Man is Accused of Assaulting a 2-Week-Old Baby

Matthew Lane, 21, of Brewer, was arrested for assault and taken to the Penobscot County Jail.

Brewer Maine Police Say an Infant Was Taken to the Hospital After an Alleged Assault

Brewer Police responded to a report of a 14-day-old infant who had been assaulted. The child was transported to a local hospital to be evaluated, but officials say he did not appear to have any significant injuries.

Authorities notified the Maine Department of Health and Human Services about the incident.
