Boater Who Died At Damariscotta Lake In Jefferson Identified

Officials have identified the man who died Sunday at Damariscotta Lake in Jefferson.

Corey Jacques, 42, of Wiscasset was boating with his wife and daughter when their boat broke down.

Jacques fell into the water as his boat was being towed by another boat.

Jacques was pulled from the water and taken to the public boat ramp off Bunker Hill Road in Jefferson, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Maine Warden Service.

The state Medical Examiner's Office is working to determine the cause of death.
