First, if you are in need of some assistance this coming season in Blue Hill, Brooklin, Brooksville, Castine, Deer Isle, Penobscot, Sedgwick, Stonington or Surry you need to act now.

If you want your kids to receive gifts of warm clothing for Christmas you must request a form and complete it this week. Forms must be completed and turned in by this Saturday the 18th.

Forms are available from your child’s school office. Also available at Tree of Life Food Pantry, Island Food Pantry or at First Congregational Church of Blue Hill.

This is the 35th year of providing warm clothing to children on the Blue Hill Peninsula. These are newborns to 18-year-olds.

If you would like to keep the program on the successful roll it has been on and would be willing to provide gifts this year to a child or a family, reach out to Ruth Miller at 266-4174. Or the First Congregational Church of Blue Hill at 22 Tenney Hill in Blue Hill.

The Delivery of gifts does take place weeks before Christmas, so time is of the essence.

Last year over 100 children from 45 families were helped.
