The Veterans Day parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, starting in Brewer and traveling into Downtown Bangor.

The parade will begin on Acme Road in Brewer at 10:30 a.m. and cross the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge between 10:40 a.m. and 10:50 a.m., according to an advisory from the Bangor Police Department. The parade will turn right at the end of the bridge and travel through downtown on Main Street to State Street to Exchange Street where it will end.

Police also issued the following traffic advisories related to the parade:

  • The Joshua Chamberlain Bridge, Main Street (downtown), State Street (downtown) and Exchange Street will close at 10:00 AM.
  • Main Street (downtown), State Street and Exchange Street will be posted on Sunday with signs indicating “No Parking after 7:00 AM Monday” – Main Street and State Street will be roped off to prevent spectators from entering the travel portion of the parade.
  • Roads will open and barricades will be removed once the parade has ended and spectators have moved from the roadways (approximately 11:30 a.m.)
