Bangor Savings Bank Reports Fraudulent Transactions

Bangor Savings Bank is encouraging customers to check their bank statements for fraudulent transactions.

Bank officials told WABI-TV that on Tuesday they had an unusually high number of customers reporting the transactions to the same national retailer that they did not initiate. There's no word on which retailer was used to make the fraudulent purchases with debit cards.

Now, investigators are trying to get to the source of the issue, since they say there has been no breach of customer information, nor any loss of data at the bank. Customers will not be held responsible for the fraudulent transactions and should contact the Help Center, if they have any concerns about their bank statement, at 877-226-4671.
