Bangor Police say Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle on Friday has Died
Bangor Police have released more details about Friday's pedestrian crash after the victim has passed away.
Sergeant Wade Betters has identified the victim as 74-year-old Gary Rich of Bangor. It was just after 4:30 Friday afternoon, December 17th, when police were called to a car vs pedestrian crash on Oak Street. Officials say the crash happened in the travel lane, on the westbound side of the road, just above the intersection of York Street.
A pick-up truck driven by 27-year-old Cameron Pelletier of Addison collided with Rich, causing him serious injuries. Mr. Rich was transported to a local medical care center where he, unfortunately, passed away.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and Pelletier has been cooperating with investigators.
We join the Bangor Police in offering our condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Rich.
