Bangor Police have released more details about Friday's pedestrian crash after the victim has passed away.

Sergeant Wade Betters has identified the victim as 74-year-old Gary Rich of Bangor. It was just after 4:30 Friday afternoon, December 17th, when police were called to a car vs pedestrian crash on Oak Street. Officials say the crash happened in the travel lane, on the westbound side of the road, just above the intersection of York Street.

A pick-up truck driven by 27-year-old Cameron Pelletier of Addison collided with Rich, causing him serious injuries. Mr. Rich was transported to a local medical care center where he, unfortunately, passed away.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and Pelletier has been cooperating with investigators.
