On Tuesday, Mulligan pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to 11 years in prison. According to WABI-TV, his attorney decided to plead out and avoid a trial since Mulligan and two other people in the apartment were reportedly under the influence of drugs at the time of the shooting.

Mulligan was also charged with unlawful possession of drugs, unlawful possession of a firearm, OUI, theft by unauthorized taking, and violation of conditions of release. He's ordered to pay $1,375 in restitution for Pelkey's funeral expenses.
