A Penobscot County grand jury handed up several indictments Wednesday including one against a Bangor man accused of attempted murder.

Howard Williams, 54, faces changes including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and domestic violence criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon in connection with the August attack in which Williams reportedly used a knife.

A grand jury does not determine guilt or innocence, only whether prosecutors have enough evidence to proceed to trial.
