A Bangor man faces several charges after allegedly breaking into several buildings, including a church, an ice arena and and a baseball stadium.

Christopher Barkac, 32, faces four felony counts of burglary, two counts of felony Aggravated criminal mischief, several counts of felony theft and a misdemeanor count criminal mischief.

Police made the arrest as part of an investigation into a burglary with extensive damage at the Columbia Street Baptist Church. Further investigation linked Barkac to the recent burglaries of 118 Harlow Street, Sawyer Arena and Mansfield Stadium, according to police.

Barkac remains at the Penobscot County Jail.
