Bangor Man, Brewer Woman Face Drug Charges After Traffic Stop
A traffic stop for speeding on I-95 ended with the seizure of several types of illegal drugs, and the arrests of two people.
The vehicle was stopped on I-95 in Augusta just before 2:00 Thursday morning, for several motor vehicle violations, including defective equipment. During the stop, Troopers noticed several indicators of criminal activity, and requested a drug-sniffing K9. The dog indicated a presence of narcotics and so the vehicle was searched. Seized as a result were $6,485 in assorted cash, 69 grams of heroin, 63 grams of crack cocaine, 1 gram of cocaine, and nearly a half pound of assorted Oxycodone and Xanax pills that were pre-packaged for sale.
Police took the two occupants into custody:
- John Wesley Clement, 22 of Bangor - Charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs, aggravated trafficking of schedule Z drugs, failing to give a correct name and date of birth, and violating conditions of release.
- Mollie Robichaud, 19 of Brewer - Charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking of schedule W drugs, and aggravated trafficking of schedule A drugs.
