
Maine Man Allegedly Hid a Gun Outside Bangor Concert Venue
A Richmond man is facing charges after allegedly hiding a loaded gun outside the Live and Collective Soul concert in Bangor.
Richmond, Maine, Man Allegedly Left a Loaded Handgun Outside a Bangor Concert Venue
John Roinestad, 45, of Richmond, was arrested by Bangor Police at the Maine Savings Amphitheater on Wednesday night, after he allegedly left a loaded handgun outside the venue.

Police were called to the amphitheater after a security officer allegedly overheard Roinestad's companion say something about not being able to take an item inside the venue.
Bangor, Maine, Concert Security Investigated After Allegedly Seeing a Man Hide a Gun
Bangor Police Sergeant Jason McAmbley says the security officer then watched as Roinestad walked up to an outside wall and appeared to stash something in a crevice.
After the man entered the amphitheater, the security officer looked to see what had been placed in the crevice and saw what they believed to be a gun.
When the police arrived, officers confirmed that it was a handgun and that the weapon was loaded.
Officers located Mr. Roinestad inside the concert venue and questioned him briefly before arresting him on a charge of reckless conduct. He's also charged with refusal to submit to arrest after struggling with the officers.
The firearm was seized by the police.

Waterfront Concerts, which operates Maine Savings Amphitheater and several other venues around the state, has a list of prohibited items on its website. Included in that list are weapons of any kind.
