Two firefighters were among the three people injured as the result of a house fire on 4th Street in Bangor.

Bangor Fire Crews Called for Mutual Aid to Help Fight the Blaze

The fire at 75 4th Street in Bangor was reported just after 5:30 on Monday morning. The single-family had been boarded up by the city and condemned prior to the fire. Despite that, initial reports indicated that there may have been people trapped inside the building.

No One Was Living in the House At the Time of the Fire

When fire crews suppressed the fire, no one was found inside, however, Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesperson Shannon Moss says one person who had been in the building sustained serious burn injuries. He was taken to a Bangor hospital and will be transferred, at some point, to Maine Medical Center in Portland for treatment of significant burns.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
