Kids are invited to bring their parents to a family-friendly New Year's Eve party, hosted by the Bangor Public Library.

The 'A Universe of Stories,' party will offer fun and educational stations around the library for kids of all ages. The Challenger Learning Center will have NASA activity stations, and there will be booths for selfies, predictions, and karoake. Live music will be provided by Duane 'Motorcycle Music Man' Nickerson and Dirigo Express. Of course, every New Year's Eve party needs refreshments, but instead of champagne and finger sandwiches, they'll be serving up hot chocolate and brownies. (sounds like MY kind of party)

The party runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and each attendee will receive a passport when they walk in. Get the passport stamped at each activity station, and you can turn it back in for a prize, and a chance at some grand prizes. It all sounds like a pretty fun way to celebrate the end of 2019 with your family.

There are lots of New Year's Eve activities in Downtown Bangor, including the beach ball drop at midnight. Find more information on the Downtown Countdown Facebook page.
